The really sad thing is that if you install *nix, all the CLI stuff, GUI, Gimp, Inkscape, Libreoffice, Blender, Audacity, Kdenlive, 3D games and practically everything you'd ever need, it usually takes up no more than 10GB. What the hell takes up 30GB on a new Windows system?

I'm not sure I'll ever understand why people buy into a computer ecosystem where buying a new computer means the preloaded software takes 25% of the disk. It's like buying a car with someone else's luggage already in the trunk.
